Gain valuable survey experience helping out with the Icelandic-breeding Goose Census

On three weekends each winter, the dates of which would be decided and notified to each volunteer, the volunteer would go to the site (Haddo Lake) to give an approximate count of the wild geese.

This could be done on either the Saturday or the Sunday (volunteer's choice) either at first light (counting the birds leaving) or at dusk (counting the birds arriving) over an hour to an hour-and-a-half - until it is fully light or dark.

Training will be provided by the organisation for this position:

David Brown (Formartine Area Ranger) will provide training on how to count the geese on the first weekend and be available for continued support as and when required.
