Sewing workshop assistant at AUSA Climate Change Project
Help us make laptop bags and purses from old pairs of jeans for Fairtrade fortnight. Help also neeeded to run a free food and drink stall.

Do you like sewing, craft or making things? We would love to have your involvement at our sewing workshop on Friday March 1st. We are going to make old pairs of jeans into purses and laptop bags! We are looking for volunteers to assist people in making the bags and purses. We will show you how to use a sewing machine and how to make the bags before the event. At the event you will assist others with using the sewing machine and following the pattern instructions. There is free food and drink at this event including a complimentary glass of wine for each person. The event is in support of Fairtrade fortnight. No previous sewing experience needed, we just need people who are enthusiastic and willing to help! We will also need some help setting up for the event, clearing up at the end and running a stall during the event which has free food and drink on it.

We will offer an informal workshop before the event to show you how to use a sewing machine and to make the bag. We will run this training workshop on Wednesday afternoon-if you are not available then we can arrange another time with you.
