Description

Are you a friendly, welcoming person who enjoys chatting with older people? Do you see the value in teaching older people to use computers?
Work within our team of Volunteers to greet people when they come to our sessions. Help keep the sessions run smoothly by signing people in, providing refreshments and listening.

This opportunity will assist you in gaining the following skills:

  • Interpersonal/Confidence
  • Teamwork
  • Problem solving/Creativity
  • Planning/Organising
  • Analytical/Research

Training will be provided by the organisation for this position:

Training will be 'on the job'. You will learn how to use the tea urn safely and be given a full induction on the small amount of paperwork that needs to be filled in. Occasionally there are informal training sessions with all the volunteers together.
