CLAN Cancer Support offers a dedicated, confidential service for children and young people. Through their work they aim to provide information, listen and allow children and young people to explore their feelings in a safe and secure environment. Group support is of great benefit and with this in mind the Children and Family Service run a children’s group and a teens’ group which meet once a month (more regularly in the school holidays) and offer a wide range of activities .

The duties of the role will include:

• Help to set up rooms and activities for in-house children and teen group activities and helping with the tidying up after an event
• Supervise children and young people that are attending the children and teen group activities
• Encourage the children and young people to participate in activities – this may involve you participating yourself!
• Ensuring that group participants are using any equipment safely
• Assisting in the preparation of food and drink for group events
