Our events serve two very important purposes; to raise essential funds for CLAN Cancer Support and to raise awareness of CLAN services. We are continually holding and taking part in a wide variety of events throughout the year. We would be unable to do so without our team of dedicated events volunteers. Being an events volunteer is rewarding, a great way to meet new people and it is a lot of fun!

The role will include:

• Assist with the preparation of fundraising events. This could include wrapping tombola prizes, preparing items to sell at a CLAN stall or helping to prepare and distribute promotional materials.
• Help with setting up events. This involves setting up rooms for shopping fayres to corporate dinners to afternoon teas to setting up a CLAN stall in a shopping centre.
• Staffing stands and sale tables at events; selling raffle tickets, running a tombola, selling CLAN merchandise at a variety of locations and events.
• Assisting with the provision of catering at events; serving drinks, preparing teas and coffees
• Interacting with members of the public
• Cash handling
• Acting as an ambassador for CLAN at events, providing awareness of CLAN Cancer Support and the services we offer to clients
