Description

Would you like to volunteer to help protect and restore Scotland's beautiful natural environment? The Caledonian Forest once covered much of The Highlands but, due to overgrazing and clearances, only a very small percentage remains. Trees for Life is working to restore this ancient forest to a spectacular wilderness area of 1,000 square miles.

We run Conservation Weeks on which volunteers help to plant trees, remove non-native species and carry out other practical conservation work. We've planted over a million trees to date and are now working to expand the Caledonian Forest with a million more in the next 5 years.

The weeks cost £150 or £80 for students and this includes accommodation, food and transport to and from the location. If you would like to spend a week living with like-minded people, learning about ecological restoration and gaining experience in practical conservation work then our Conservation Weeks are for you! Please visit our website at http://www.treesforlife.org.uk/tfl.ww.html for more information.
