Description

CSV is a national volunteering charity that provides Full Time Volunteering placements for people wishing to gain skills and experience in social or health care fields, teaching and youth justice or for people looking for a challenging year out after university in the UK.

CSV placements are full-time for between 6 and 12 months and are located across the UK. All volunteers are placed away from home and receive free accommodation and subsistence which includes £35 per week towards day to day expenses plus food (or up to £40 per week to buy food). There are hundreds of opportunities across the UK including helping adults or children with disabilities in schools, homes, day centres, universities or enabling carers to take a break.

There are also projects supporting homeless people or befriending projects where volunteers mentor young people at risk of offending or exclusion from school. Volunteers do not require any previous experience or recognised qualifications as all placements are fully supervised and training is provided.

CSV Full Time volunteering is a great way to build up your CV and improve your employability. There are many transferable skills to be gained and it provides excellent general work experience. It would be particularly useful for students interested in a career in social work, health care, youth work, childcare, the probation service or police, teaching, physiotherapy & occupational therapy, counselling, clinical psychology and many more!
