Description

Our project, Sustainable Connections Transport Team, provides the simplest and the most effective way to support individuals - a companionship!

In order to promote this service we are seeking more enthusiastic, fun-loving individuals willing to join our team and help with organisation of our public events.

Our events involve a wide range of activities, from simple open air days focused on rising awareness around disability, to high profile projects, like European No Car Day, prepared with our partners.

You will get a change to see an event being created from a very beginning. You will get a chance to boost your skills thanks to a wide range of tasks involved. With hands-on experience you will be able to improve your employment options.

On top of that we offer brilliant professional courses to all our volunteers.

#NoDisInAbility

This opportunity will assist you in gaining the following skills:

  • Interpersonal/Confidence
  • Teamwork
  • Planning/Organising
  • Leadership/Management

Training will be provided by the organisation for this position:

You will receive a full induction and we will make sure to craft your training to your needs.

We also pay for invaluable, high quality courses for our volunteers. That may involve British Sign Language, Autism Awareness, Guidance of People and many more. Donna already benefits from volunteering: "I would recommend the training day even for those who may be or think they are aware of sensory impairments as there is always something new to learn and experience. I gained a lot from the dining blindfolded session. I have also gained in networking contacts as I am meeting their tech chap for help with my business website. There is something new to learn for everyone :-)"
